Hey, I’m Devin, author, speaker, wellness educator, passionate health strategist and coach. I help people experience how good their bodies are designed to feel through leading a healthy, active and balanced lifestyle. My gift is inspiring and guiding others to feel and look their best by making health simple.
I’m a student of life, dedicated to ongoing improvement and learning and feel blessed to be able to share my health knowledge and expertise to improve others lives.
To me, health is all about energy and vibrancy. The healthier you are, the more energy you’ll have to experience life.
If you’re taking care of your health, you’re going to have the energy to give and show the world your best and REALLY enjoy doing the things you love with the people you love…which is what life is all about.
When you have vibrant health you’ll also be able to live a life with more passion and purpose.
To me, health is all about balancing. Finding balance in your physical body, balance in your diet, balance in your relationships, balance in your work and finances, balance in how you organize and spend your time and balance in your mind and spirit.
Finding balance isn’t easy, we’re not taught in school how to find and maintain it and were inundated with distractions and “to do’s” that pull us further and further away from finding our balance.
I’ve discovered through my years of trial and error, studying nutrition, health and personal development that in order to find balance, it’s essential to keep things simple… simple works.
What you’ll get from me is simplified, clear, actionable health and wellness advice that cuts through all the hype that will get you the results you’re seeking.
Have you ever noticed that the happiest, most successful people you encounter are usually the healthiest people, too? They’re the ones open to learning and trying new things and improving themselves every chance they get…they are students of life.
I was lucky enough to be a very observant kid and learned from a very young age that these “healthy people” were also usually passionate, joyful, friendly and full of energy. They seemed to have a vibrant glow and refreshing positive energy that could light up any room. I wanted to be one of these happy, healthy people.
I actually grew up eating the (SAD) standard American diet, mac and cheese, hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, pasta, lunch meat sandwiches, sugary breakfast cereals, processed packaged and fast foods. It wasn’t a coincidence that my three brothers and I were often sick growing up.
As a result of being sick all the time, I was also over prescribed antibiotics which destroyed my immune system (70% of our immune system is in our gut) and lead to multiple ear infections which eventually lead to a surgery (myringotomy on my right ear.)
It wasn’t my mom’s fault, she just didn’t know any better and it wasn’t until my grandfather was diagnosed and passed away from cancer that she start on he journey to leading a healthy lifestyle. She quit smoking and began to educate herself about health and wellness. She transformed into one of the “healthy people” I described above and as she began to implement healthier foods into our families lifestyle, we all started to look and feel better, we got sick less and had more energy.
This experience changed me forever because even though I was young, I realized that the choices we make and don’t make, have profound effects on how we look and feel. I discovered that extraordinary health happens by choice not chance!
I realized that we each hold the power to reclaim our health and shape our destiny and that small choices really do make a BIG difference! This truth lead me to study Exercise Science and Health Promotion in college, attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as well as continue to educate myself in various health courses, seminars, and trainings. Today I read at least a book a month and attend at least one seminar, take a course or training each quarter to continue to better myself and better serve others.
Another truth I discovered is that most people simply don’t know how bad they feel until they start to feel good. Most people are not healthy, but not unhealthy enough to make a change…which is a alarming! It’s kinda like putting the wrong gas and oil in a car for several weeks, months and years, it may still run but the engine is slowly breaking down until one day the engine explodes (cancer, diabetes, heart disease).
Jennifer was an example of this. She was suffering from very bad arthritis pain and extremely low energy at the young age of 39 that was keeping her from being the best mom she could be.
Sadly she became so used to feeling bad… she forgot what it felt like to feel good. Feeling bad became her new “normal”. But after just three weeks of changing her lifestyle and eating habits, she was able to reduce her arthritis pain from a 10 to a 2 and within just a few weeks after that, she was able to get off almost all her medications including her blood pressure and cholesterol pills all while doubling her energy and losing over 15 pounds of stubborn belly fat.
Jennifer accelerated her health. She was thrilled and was able to offer her best self to her kids and husband again.
Year after year it’s the small consistent choices that lead to either a vibrant long healthy life or one plagued with disease and dissatisfaction. Let’s be honest, no one plans on getting cancer, diabetes, heart disease, or becoming overweight yet three-quarters of America will experience one of these preventable diseases and is overweight! How can this be? As they say, “life happens” and the pounds creep on slowly year after year as our health silently deteriorates. It’s this slow and gradual process that deceives.
Ignoring your health problems doesn’t make them go away…they only come back stronger.
Bob experienced this. He was a hard working medical consult dedicated to providing for his wife and two kids. Working long hours and having to travel often lead him to neglect his health. Year after year he gained a few pounds and before he knew it, he was 20 pounds overweight and diagnosed with full blown diabetes. Overweight, depressed and frustrated he decided it was time for a change.
He first began walking, then slowly began to incorporate weight training into his walking routine. Within just a few weeks he got stronger, became more focused and began to gain his life energy back. He eventually started to incorporate healthier foods into his diet, which lead to better sleep, even more energy and quicker weight loss.
The extra pounds he was carrying fell off and over a period of several months he completely transformed his body and mind. He now has a new lease on life and feels younger and more alive then he did 20 years ago… He took massive action and now is experiencing that healthy person attitude and vibrancy.
These are just two of the many stories amazing stories of transformations I’ve witnessed and have been honored to take part in over the years. It’s witnessing transformations like these that set me on a mission to help educate and guide 100,000,000 people to experience how good their bodies are designed to feel.
We are all on our own personal health journeys. Health is a choice. Some people choose to take the easy road of health by way of prevention and others choose the hard rocky road of neglect and disease. Whatever road you choose ultimately is your choice. As for me, I choose vibrant energy. I choose balance. I choose more joy and happiness. I choose health and to share it with as many people as possible… I choose to live passionately on purpose.

Devin is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and now resides in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He is avid about his health and wellness and lives what he teaches.
