Is Your Business Costing You Your Health?

Is your business costing you your health?

Nothing has more of an impact on your business than your health. It’s the foundation for how you show up every day. Since you’re an entrepreneur, you’re putting in twice the effort and hours, and experiencing double the stress as a normal person. Which is why you must make your health a even higher priority than most people. You simply don’t have time to get sick.

Maybe you feel like you need a coffee IV just to get through the day? Or maybe you’ve gained some weight because of poor eating habits?

Maybe you’ve found yourself not exercising because of your insanely busy schedule, or have a difficult time falling or staying asleep? These are all common situations for busy entrepreneurs who have lost sight of what’s really most important… their health. You could have all the money in the world but without your health, you can’t enjoy it.

When asked what surprised him about humanity the most, the Dalai Lama replied:

“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

If you Googled “how to improve my health,” you would find endless opinions, approaches, and fads to achieve this goal. Which is why it’s so essential to keep things simple because complexity is the enemy of execution.

You can optimize your performance as an individual and as a business owner and still move the ball down the court. But chances are if you are reading this you are driving around with your check engine light on right now… not in your car but in the vessel that you are journeying through life in…your body.

We often completely ignore our bodies “check engine” light and hope it just magically turns off.

Unfortunately, it won’t until of course, we do something about it.

And if we wait until shit really starts breaking down to finally take the “car” in for service at that point we’ve done 10x the damage and it’s gonna cost 10x the amount of money to fix it.

This is what we do in our health.

Just because it’s the norm doesn’t make it normal.

  • Being 10+lbs overweight
  • Getting sick 1-2x per year
  • Feel chronically tired
  • Constantly stressed and overwhelmed
  • Not sleeping well
  • Feeling mentally anxious and afraid

We must start paying more attention to our bodies “check engine light.”

Our bodies speak to us… it’s up to us to listen.

Are you listening? If you’re not it is only a matter of time until your body will force you too.
